Initially gaining exposure for his work as a graffiti artist, Goldie became well known for his pioneering role as a musician in the 1990s UK jungle, drum and bass and breakbeat hardcore scenes. He released a variety of singles under the pseudonym Rufige Kru and co-founded the label Metalheadz. He would later release several albums under his own name, including the 1995 album Timeless, which entered the UK charts at number 7. Goldie's acting credits include the 1999 James Bond film The World Is Not Enough, Guy Ritchie 's Snatch (2000) and the BBC soap opera EastEnders (2001-2002. He has also appeared in a number of celebrity reality television shows, including Celebrity Big Brother 2 (UK) Strictly Come Dancing, Come Dine with Me and Maestro. Early life [ edit] Price is of Jamaican and Scottish heritage. [1] 2] He was put up for adoption and raised in childcare homes and by several foster parents. [2] According to his 2002 autobiography, he was physically and sexually abused during this time. [3] Price was a member of the breakdance crew Westside, based in the Whitmore Reans and Heath Town areas of Wolverhampton, in the 1980s. He later joined a breakdance crew called the Birmingham Bboys, and made his name as a graffiti artist in the West Midlands. His artwork around Birmingham and Wolverhampton was featured heavily in Dick Fontaine 's documentary Bombin. He took part in the largest-ever British graffiti art battle alongside Bristol artist Robert "3D" Del Naja, who later formed Massive Attack. He is mentioned for his graffiti in the book Spraycan Art by Henry Chalfant and James Prigoff, which contains several examples of his art. He moved to the United States owing to graffiti projects, and also started selling grills (gold teeth jewellery) in New York and Miami; he continued this business after his return to the UK in 1988. [2] His nickname stems from "Goldielocks" an earlier nickname given to him during his Bboys days and subsequently shortened when he no longer wore dreadlocks. [2] Music [ edit] By 1991, Price had become fascinated by the British breakbeat music scene when his girlfriend, DJ Kemistry, introduced him to the pioneering jungle and drum and bass producers Dennis "Dego" McFarlane and Mark "Marc Mac" Clair, known as 4hero. [2] He went on to execute some design and A&R work for 4hero 's Reinforced Records label. In 1992, Price made his first appearance, by contributing to an EP by Icelandic group, Ajax Project. [4] For many years, the track was repeatedly misattributed to Price himself, perhaps because of his subsequent use of "Rufige" as moniker for his own releases. His releases Killa Muffin b/w Krisp Biscuit and the Dark Rider EP were released under the alias "Rufige Cru" on Reinforced. [5] His track "Terminator" released under the name "Metalheads" in 1992, 6] was a hit in the jungle scene and is noted for pioneering the use of time stretching. The group has no fixed members and has included drum and bass producers such as Technical Itch, Heist, Cujo, Agzilla Da Ice, Danny J, Doc Scott and Rob Playford. March 2013 saw the release of The Alchemist: The Best of Goldie 1992–2012, featuring prominent tracks from throughout Price's musical career. Television appearances [ edit] In the late 1980s, Price appeared on Central Weekend, a Friday evening topical debate show on Central TV, promoting graffiti as an art form. He had a small documentary made about his own art on Central TV's Here and Now programme featuring Pogus Caesar 's photographs of New York. He has appeared on various young people's TV shows as part of a breakdance crew, the Bboys from Wolverhampton. In 1995, he appeared on Passengers, and in a Channel 4 documentary about himself in 1998. His next TV appearance was hosting Crime Business on the digital TV channels Bravo and Ftn. He presented the documentary series The World's Deadliest Gangs on Bravo in 2002. Price appeared on the second series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2002. He was the first celebrity to be "evicted. In 2006, he was scheduled to appear in The Games, a UK reality TV show on Channel 4, but during training for the water-ski jump event he fractured his femur and was unable to take part in the show. Je suis allé voir ce film juste en me basant sur l'affiche, sans me renseigner sur le sujet du film et j'ai été surpris complètement. Ce film est probablement l'un des meilleurs que j'ai vu cette année. Le style visuel du film se rapproche vraiment du thème qui lui est associé à avoir la peinture car beaucoup de plans dans ce film pourraient ressembler à des toiles. Les décors, costumes et éclairages donnent une sensation naturelle au film et je dois avouer que le manque de musique dans ce film était un geste qui renforce encore plus le réalisme de la réalisation. Tout ses éléments renforcent le côté "peinture" du film et les détails qu'on peut y retrouver comme l'éclairage, les costumes. Les actrices sont toutes au point. Adèle Haenel fait un boulot de dingue plus particulièrement par rapport aux autres même si elles sont toutes géniales. Côté scénario, ce film prouve qu'on a pas besoin de 40 lignes de dialogues par scène pour comprendre ce qu'il se passe. Tout est fait de manière subtile et élégante pour que le spectateur puisse se faire une interprétation. Le film possède cependant quelques défauts mais ses défauts n'aggravent pas vraiment la qualité du film. L'un de ses défauts serait la scène du feu de camp. Cette scène est magnifiquement tournée, les actrices sont parfaites, les symboles sont beaux mais je trouve cette scène un peu entachée par la chanson. Surtout que ça s'entend que cette chanson avait été enregistrée en studio au préalable et que les acteurs font du playback. Pour un film qui, selon moi, essayait de paraître le plus réaliste possible, c'est plutôt dommage d'avoir cette scène qui distrait beaucoup de ce qu'il se passe. Mais ses défauts sont petits et comme je disais, ce film est incroyable aussi bien au niveau visuel que dans le fond. Portrait of a Lady on Fire is at times one of the best films of the decade, with stellar acting by every actress, a daring script that involves slightly taboo themes and a great, yet minimal score.
At other times though, the film is completely ruined by having too long static shots that, while showcasing the actresses' abilities, really bored me and just made me wish the film was over already. That's a feeling that is also compounded due to the slow pace present. This is especially noticeable when we transition through scenes in a sudden and choppy way, that would be more appropriate for a trailer. The worst part of the editing and the choice of having long shots is that they really turn this movie into a drag. This is a 2 hour long film, that, if it was shot differently, could have had more character development (which it really needs in regard to the relationship portrayed) instead of scenes where no one is doing anything. The only good part of the cinematography, apart from some actually good shots (like all of the campfire scene - that was beautiful) was the absolutely stunning location.
To conclude, this film really disappointed me and it especially hurts since there is something truly great buried within and I can't fathom how a film that so many seem to love, has so many big issues, turning it into an amateur short film that somehow ended up being 2 hours long.

So much happens during this movie, I remember going a little numb by about an hour and a half in. This movie just can't sit still, like it needs to throw in locations and people and explosions so that you get up and leave. Many will say that this is because the movie needs to dedicate a solid hour to setting itself up, as TLJ left a narrative mess in its wake, but it continues to cram far too many side characters and "stakes raising moments" into its remaining run time.
In fairness, Abrams' The Force Awakens gets many of the same things right and wrong: a frenetic and distracting pace, entertaining sequences, an overload of callbacks, great performances of a mediocre script. However, a first act can get a pass for some loose threads while opening up possibilities for future installments. A third act needs focus, the only new characters in Return of the Jedi were the Emperor and Lando's friend with the mask) and the Rise of Skywalker does itself no favors by piling more plot contrivances and obstacles onto the monumental task of fixing the holes in the story so far.
I've been a fan of Star Wars since watching the Original Trilogy on VHS as a kid. I don't know all the Expanded Universe lore, I haven't watched Clone Wars or the Mandalorian. I just loved the movies and loved playing like I had the Force as a child, and I wanted this trilogy to give me something else I could love. I just feel sad they didn't plan this story ahead of time and that squandered the only chance we had to see Carrie Fisher as Leia again.

It may be so, since she is rather headstrong, spoiled and with a strong tendency to plan other people's lives, without giving a second thought to all possible... Okay, when I first started the book and was reading how Emma was taking happiness away from Harriet Smith by telling her that Mr. Martin wasn't good enough for her - I didn't like Emma at all. Now I can understand how Emma only wanted to do good by Harriet and that was how it was back in those days. But, as Mr. Knightely pointed out, Harriet was not from some wealthy family and Emma was doing the wrong thing in trying to find her a great husband. She's spoiled by her circumstances and self-absorbed in a way that only someone who hasn't really known any sort of hardships can be. But here's the thing I found as I listened to this one: It wasn't really Emma that I... Miss Woodhouse ( they're very formal, in those days) is very class conscious a bit of a snob ( but lovable) and will not be friends with people below... Oh my goodness, did I love. At one point, toward the end, when the thing that Austen was working toward happened, I literally fell down from the couch to the rug. Emma herself is a unique creation, a headstrong, misguided, self-confident girl who we can't help but love, because she is honest. The love complications are innumerable, the humor is excellent, and the writing is spectacular. Without the intensely crafted plot of Pride and Prejudice, say, Austen's sentences are left to carry the book... I can't do it! I can't finish it! I keep trying to get into Jane Austen's stuff and I just can't make it further than 150 pages or so. Everything seems so predictable and sooooo long-winded. I feel like she is the 19th century John Grisham. You know there's a good story line in there somewhere, and if you could edit out 60% of the words it would be fantastic. Sorry to all the Jane Austen fans-you inspired me to try one more time and I failed! Although using this trite doesn't mean that the fact is any less true, it is still at the risk of sounding cliché when I say that Jane Austen's classic, Emma, is like a breath of fresh air when juxtaposed to the miasmal novels in the publishing market today; especially for someone who has been on a YA binge of late. You see, the reason why I went for Emma as my first Austen read is because my mother has seen the latest movie adaptation, and she claims it to be her very favorite. Mind you, she... I'm beginning to put in more work in my hobby - my solitary one, reading - than I've put in my career. 400 pages of this stuff is the strong stuff. I have little to analyze here. That is because a lot of the things that can be construed, can be true of any book. I believe that one of Austen's goals in writing is to teach us to view the rude and ridiculous with amusement rather than disdain.
